Mini Skirt and a Jean Jacket

Happy Monday Everyone,

It is late in the evening where I am at, but I wanted to get a blog post up from this past weekend. I had so much fun on Saturday shooting in Old Town Fredericksburg, Virginia. A favorite place of mine to visit. I love the historic charm that resonates throughout the city.

Saturday's weather was in the 60s and sunshine, so I decided to wear something that was light-weight, but still kept me warm when there was a breeze. Above, I am wearing a light-weight denim jacket, with a burnt-orange chiffon blouse, a black mini skirt, and a pair of suede, strappy heels in camel. I accessorized this outfit with rose gold aviators that captured the color of my shirt well.

Jean jackets are great for casual wear, and it helps dress down my blouse, mini skirt, and heel combination. I feel they are also a staple for spring weather because of the seasonal temperature changes. The blouse is from Burlington Coat Factory. Little secret about this place...you can find the best hidden treasures there! I have been shopping at this store since I was a child. When people used to ask where I got something I was wearing and I told them Burlington Coat Factory, they were shocked. Take the time to browse and look around the next time you are shopping there, you can get fashionable finds for great discounts! Also, I cannot forget to mention my heels. They have been featured in a previous blog post before. If I failed to mention, let me explain now. These heels are so comfortable!

Flannel & Timberlands

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

First off, lets start off with my boots. Ya'll...they're from the seventh grade! Such a throwback. I remember I saw them in an Alicia Keys music video and had to have them. At one point, I almost got rid of them. I'm so glad I didn't though. I don't usually wear them too often. However when I do wear them, it is normally in the cold winter months, and especially when it snows. They're warm, comfortable, and you can be stylish while shoveling snow too. The flannel is a throwback as well. It is a boy's youth flannel from Target. It used to be my younger brothers. I wear this when I want to be casual and comfortable. I paired this with a simple black camisole underneath, and a dark pair of skinny jeans, which I am in love with!

Sweaters & Shorts

Due to the warmer weather this fall season, I've been able to wear dress shorts and sweaters, and feel comfortable outside! I like to wear this outfit to my office because it is still conservative, but cute and casual at the same time. I originally bought these shorts to go golfing, but I never went; now I wear them on the regular. They are a modest length and a great material. They are a great short that really can be worn seasonally, just mix up the top and shoes.

Boyfriend Jeans & My Nike Hat

I cannot believe I can walk outside of the house without a jacket on this time of year. Just a casual day on the weekend, wearing ripped up jeans, a plain v-neck, and simple white sneakers. I matched this this sporty casual outfit with a Nike athletic cap. My favorite hat ever, that I wear all the time.

Long cardigan & a T-shirt Dress

Where I live we have been having very warm fall days, so it was easy to step outside in a light cardigan, t-shirt dress, and boots. Long cardigans are wardrobe staples in my closet, and t-shirt dresses can be worn in so many ways. These pieces are great to layer and the more colors you have, the better.

Fall Inspired Makeup Tutorial

New YouTube Video is live on my channel, and did I mention that this is my first one. I am completely new to video editing, I had numerous fails due to technical difficulties and there was a lot of frustration, but I finally did it! I'm so happy and it is such a great way to start off December. Stay tuned for more uploads :)

Jeans and a Leather Jacket

Jeans, a leather jacket, and a scarf are perfect pieces to a casual look. This layered look is great for cool days in the fall. I matched this outfit with black, heeled booties. Heels are everything to me! I like to think you can still be casual in them. A flat style of shoe would go well with this look too; my next choice would be a combat boot. Pair these items with a plain, simple t-shirt underneath.

Asymmetrical Tunic

Forever stylish and cozy in this outfit. The asymmetrical cut of the tunic and the shoulder and arm detailing are alluring. I paired these with black leggings and thigh-high black wedge boots. Style the tunic up or down, with black dress pants or a pair of jeans. This outfit is a combination of comfort and dressy all in one!
